I’ve had the benefit of Lorna Speth’s bookkeeping services during the past decade for two different not-for-profit 501(c)3 entities where I served as a volunteer board director, and for one where I served for three years as paid executive director. Lorna has been reliable, helpful, and ready to adapt and expand her scope of service as needed. In my executive director job, I needed help assembling annual forecast budgets. The first need was for efficient operation of the software - using the right tools in the right ways. Lorna was great with that; she made it easy. The second need was for simple motivation and task completion - this administrative task was not my favorite thing to do ... but doing it together, side-by-side with Lorna, made it a lot more enjoyable. The teamwork also improved the precision and quality of the work product. In addition to the annual budget support effort, we depended on Lorna for routine bi-weekly bill posting and paying, payroll services, monthly profit and loss reports and balance sheets, bank account reconciliations, and preparation of financial materials for our annual US Treasury IRS Form 990 tax filing. Lorna was on time, like clockwork, and always available by phone or text for scheduling modifications and updates.
